Whenever I run startx at my command line, I got a an error returned that said I have no screen configuration that will work with the screens that are available. I read up at Xorg that I have to increase my screen range. How do I go about doing that and is this the right thing to do? |

also, if this helps, while I was trying to install and configure GNOME I came across a problem when I tried to do this Code: | # /etc/init.d/hald start
# rc-update add hald default
# /etc/init.d/mDNSResponder start
# rc-update add mDNSResponder default
|
it said that hald was not a valid directory. Am I missing something very important? |
