ScummVM is one of the coolest things I have seen in a while. My roomates and I have been dusting off the old LucasArts games, and I had almost forgotten how much fun to play they are. Best thing is, it's an ebuild!

Yes, and I think it's sad. The ScummVM team should have spelled out the fact that it's just a virtual machine that the old SCUMM engine runs in, not the engine itself and that you still need a copy of the game to play it. Their response to the LucasArts lawyers was pretty rushed. |

Yes, perhaps. However the SCUMMVM website is still up, so they're not shut down and hopefully they will continue to improve their software.

Ooooh. Neat. I didn't know this existed. I guess it's time to dust off the old Monkey Island disks. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my copy of Maniac Mansion, though. |
