Now, I've not installed xfree and kde.How to install them?emerge kde, emerge xfree?How to cofigurate?
P.S. With what program do you connect on ADSL line?rp-pppoe.Where to find the program?

You'll "just" have to do
This takes ~= 15h-20h on my bi-athlon 1.8GHz
I've made some binaries that can be installed directly. Get them here :

BTW, portage will compile other little packages needed by xfree and KDE.

If you don't need all the KDE bells and whistles you could start with:
And build up from there what you need from the things in /usr/portage/kde-base/
This lets you do a lot of the compiling while being in KDE so you can do other stuff too. _________________ Meh. |
