Hi
I have a space limitation on old laptop (4Gig).
I there a way to install a samba mount client only since this machine does not share anything, it just browses.
net-fs/samba is 51Mb and net-fs/smbfs is only 403kB.

| There's a module in the kernel(at least in the one I use ck-sources 2.6.16-ck11), you can compile it to add SMB support to mount. |

I use gentoo sources. Thanks for the advice. I am gonna try it out now then i will get back to you.
