[SOLVED] alsa | gentoo-sources-2.6.16-r7(no soundcards)

hi,

i've install alsa-driver and when I use alsaconf there comfigure good, but i received massage : no soundcards ,
that same error I received when using : cat /proc/asounds/cards

i've integrated soundcard (on motherboard ASUS A8N-S, it's ALSA_CARDS="intel8x0")

I read manuals, then try to do with modules in the kernel, recompile kernel and the same error. I try once again with alsa-driver and info with manual from page :http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml

If someone have any idea to compare with that problem I would be grateful if he/she share with me that knowledge

it doesn't work
I recompile kernel with alsa as a module, and I have the same problem. no soundcards, but in my windows xp my cards works and works with gentoo-source-2.6.12. It's strange.
If someone have other idea it will be grate.

that problem show in runlevel so i think that probably is kernel problem.

i change kernel from gentoo-2.6.16 (gentoo-sources) to vanilla-sources-2.6.16.16. Compile kernel with alsa (as a module), now it works.

i think this is a problem with kernel (gentoo-sources) but i'm not sure.
