Ich habe den Grub.conf meiner meinung nach richtig auf WinXP eingestellt, beim booten erhalte ich jedoch nur einen emergten grub.
Win ist uebrigens auf einer separaten Festplatte
Was muss ich jetzt machen :?:

Zunächst mal Willkommen bei Gentoo!

1. wie ist die Festplatte partitioniert (gib mal das Partitionsschema mit fdisk /dev/hdX -l aus) (bei X bitte noch den bustaben eintragen ;) )

2. Poste mal deine Grub.conf

Meine Partitionen enden bei fdisk alle mit does not end at cilynder boundary

Disk /dev/hdb: 20.5 GB 20520493056 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 2494 cylinders
Units = cylinders off 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

du hast wohl deine Partitionen auf einer anderen Adresse

schau mal /dev/hda /dev/hdc oder /dev/hdd

Wie kopiere ich den das Zeugs von der Konsole hier herrein, wenn ich die Konsole mit Strg Alt F* aufmachen muss. :?:

...leite die Ausgabe einfach in ne File mit
Code:
fdisk -l /dev/hda >> myresult.txt
und speicher die file und boote dann dein anderes os oder knoppix und mach dann die file auf und dann hier rein damit.

Ich bin jetzt mit Knoppix reingegangen, dass will aber nicht meine Konsole öffnen ???????

du hast wahrscheinlich das gleiche prob wie hier:

das liegt daran, dass Windows nur von der 1. Platte bootet. Das kann man aber mappen:
