|
|
This is the sort of problem that makes people like me who really want to use linux tear our hair out.
I use disk labels to help me catagorize what is on the various cd-roms and dvd-roms lying around on my desk. But for the life of me I can't find out what the stupid cd-rom or dvd-rom is labeled after I've created it!!!!
I'm using KDE and Konqueror to view the contents of the disk. But I just need to find out what the label is, a command line utility or some such would be exellent, anything!!!! This is really frustrating me.

when you open the folder system and you see all your mounted driver, don't you see the CD/DVD ROM with its respective label in there? I do... |

Thank you!
Code: | volname /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 |
Works very well. I had forgotten that it is a volume name that I was looking for. Using the word volume while searching for an answer I found it right away. Thank you for the help! |
