I installed neverwinter nights and it seemed to work perfectly. I have a ati radeon 9600 and I could run the game in 1152x... whatever smoothly.
I'm using amd64.
Howver I upgraded my kernel from 2.6.13 to 2.6.15 for some other reason and now I can't run nwn higher than 800x600. If I set a higher resolution my monitor (philips lcd 190s) complains with a message overdrive 85hz. That's probably because my monitor can't handle refresh rates higher than 75hz. I re-emerged ati-drivers and reconfigured xorg.conf. No success.
Any ideas how to fix this? |

In my case running /opt/nwn/fixinstall fixed the problem (nwn is installed via portage). |

My NWN want run at all, I only get "SDL parachut deplyed" or other SDL errors. What SDL packages are NWN dependent to? or is it any special problems with NWN and the ATI drivers? I have an ATI Mobility gfx card. _________________ Brgds
