Hi all
I can't play two audio streams at once, using a nvidia nforce2 based mb (sry don't know more info about it). Can this be fixed? quite anoying having to turn sound of all the time if I'm going to stream a movie or sound not being played to notify me of stuff while I'm listening to music. _________________ From Gentoo with love |

Hi!
You are using ALSA, right?
To play more than one sound at one you have to enable software-Mixing (aka dmix). Have a look at the Gentoo Wiki. |

audiocius and mpg321 wont play nice, I restarted alsasound and get this when trying to play things in a term.
Code: |
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:862:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
No default libao driver available.

Hhmm... I'm sorry, but I don't know what's causing this error.
Maybe updating alsa-lib helps?
Did you setup your ~/.asoundrc according to the special information for Nforce-Chipsets mentioned in the wiki? |
