Hi, im trying to use ftp program, and was just wondering what the general oppinion was, as to the best user friendly ftp program available via portage? preferably with a gui. I have just installed gentoo on my new Intel P4 & Canterwood system and looking to build up my program list... I am currently running Gnome 2.2.3

I agree, gftp is a very easy program to use, both in X and in text-mode. _________________ Hmm.. Of course, these are MY opinions - likely to be just as flawed as anyone else's. Um, really, I guess you should assume everyone's speaking out of some external influence. Believe in whatever makes sense to you. |

i prefere ncftp (not gui!) and kbear (for kde) ...didn't like gftp _________________ tea+free software+law=hook
(deep inside i'm still a tux's little helper) |

Try Igloo-FTP, it looks and works a lot like FlashFXP on Windows.
I actually bought a copy... after being fed up with constant problems connecting to an xbox, so, hey, I blame microsoft, but... they're certainly not going to fix it. IglooFTP solved all my problems, and doesn't crash. _________________ s/(?<!gnu\/)linux(?! kernel)/GNU\/Linux/gi
