made an emerge -a world today, updated all etcs, but now, when i open my browser and access a site which is parsed by php module i get an error 500 (internal server error).

in the logs i see this:
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x08074a40 ***

now i'm wondering: what the fuck? :)

Hello

I ran into something similar before. This is an Apache error I believe. Can you post your USE flags for apache as well as dev-lang/php?

Hello, that shows the possible USE flags. Can you post the output of...

Code:
emerge -pv dev-lang/php apache

This'll show the exact USE flags you have set.

Code:

Hello

Did you restart apache after upgrade? I'm also curious about cgi flag in PHP. I'm also using the following USE flag for apache 'mpm-prefork no-suexec'

Did you want PHP built as a cgi versus a apache mod?

i dont care wheter its built as cgi or not! php must work, cgis must work and suphp must work.

thats all :)

i even dont know any advantage / disadvantage of using php as cgi.
would it be better not to compile it as cgi against apache?

This doesn't seem like a apache error, because if I run suPHP from command line, i get this error:

Quote:

Keres web # suphp
suPHP version 0.6.1

suPHP has to be called by mod_suphp to work.
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x8003cf58 ***

Ok, here is some more information:

a simple php script:

Code:

<?php

phpinfo();

?>

When I run it via a web browser, i get this error in the apache error log:

Quote:

[Wed Aug 23 13:25:35 2006] [error] [client 196.41.186.226] Premature end of script headers: info.php
[Wed Aug 23 13:25:35 2006] [error] [client 196.41.186.226] ParsingException in Configuration.cpp:62: "flase" is not a valid boolean value
[Wed Aug 23 13:25:35 2006] [error] [client 196.41.186.226] *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x8003cd58 ***

Any ideas?

Dave
