Hallo,
ich habe nxserver auf meiner gentoo anhand des HowTos von http://de.gentoo-wiki.com/FreeNX_Server installiert. Nun möchte ich mich aus dem Internet von meinem Windows-Laptop mit diesem Verbinden. Den NX-Client hab ich also auch installiert. Bekomme allerdings beim verbinden folgende Fehlermeldung:

Port 5000 ist allerdings an der Firewall freigegeben:

Sieht so aus als ob Dein Port 5000 nicht benutzt wird.

Das hilft mir nicht wirklich weiter.
Also folgendes:
habe mal den nxclient auf der gentoo Maschine installiert, und mich darüber dann eingeloggt (also auf localhost). Das hat soweit gut funktioniert. Von der Windows-Maschine aus funktioniert es allerdings nicht. Ich bekomme immer die gleiche Fehlermeldung.
Wenn ich "Enable SSL encryption of all traffic" einschalte, bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung

Mann, was ich meine ist, daß Du vlt. mal port 7000 in deiner Firewall freigeben solltest.
Ansonsten mußt Du Dir halt die manpage für NX reinziehen da offensichtlich port 7000 der Standard-port dieser Anwendung ist. Wie man den ändert erfährst Du in der manpage

| auch port 7000 hatte ich zwischendurch mal freigegeben. Also daran kann es schonmal nicht liegen. |
