I have gentoo 2006.0 installed on a Acer Aspire 5105from the live cd. I am not comfortable doing a full command line install, so I used the GUI installer and most everything is working. I have a Dual core AMD64Turion TL-50 processor and can't get the wireless working. It has a Atheros AR5005G on board chip and I can't emerge the latest Mad WiFi drivers. Does anyone have an idea where I should look. I have looked through most of the posts I could find pertaining to the 5005 but none of them helped. Thanks.

For that wireless card you need to compile madwifi-ng package (emerge madwifi-ng). Since you said you can not do that, do you get an error, or what? |
