Has anybody tried to use the mysql authentication for courier-imap? I have postfix working beautifully... but courier does not seem to even recognize mysql. I have the authdaemond.mysql compiled and the authmysqlrc seems to be configured right... Anyone tried this combo or ran into any similar probs?
Thanks,

I have this setup on one of my server and it works great with postfix and courier-imap doing lookups to the same db.
One problem I ran into was authdaemond.mysql never actually trying to connect to mysql. That has been fixed in recent versions. Did you double check that mysql is logging, and tail -f the query log? That will tell you if it is logging in, and if so what it is checking for. _________________ - Kyle Manna

I got it working, I had a couple of problems. The mysql.sock was wrong and I used PASSWORD() instead on ENCRYPT() to store the encrypted password. |
