Dopo un emerge -Du world, non mi parte più OpenOffice 2.0.4. Sia eseguendolo con click dal menu di gnome, sia facendolo partire a mano (ooffice2, ooimpress2, oobase2,...) mi compare per un decimo di secondo la finestrella di openoffice e poi tutto crasha senza alcun messaggio di errore, neanche nella consolle, sia come root che come normal user.
Ho provato a reinstallarlo;
ho provato con revdep-rebuild che mi ha reinstallato db, ho disinstallato OO-bin, ho rimosso gli ebuild dal portage tree, ho dato emerge --sync e di nuovo emerge openoffice-bin;
ho ricontrollato la mia configurazione java tramite java-check-environment, è ok;
vi posto il mio emerge --info

Ho cercato sul forum generale e sui siti di OO.org, ma niente da fare. Purtroppo la suite mi serve immediatamente. Sono tornato alla versione 2.0.3.
Per ora questo problema rimane non risolto.

Vedo che stai utilizzando un sistema "instabile" (ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~x86).... 
Le cause del tuo problema potrebbero essere molteplici, se non trovi nulla su BugZilla è difficile trovare una soluzione qui nel forum!
Stai installando openoffice con la USE "java" abilitata?
Se sì, prova a disabilitarla e a reinstallarlo, il problema persiste?

si, ho installato openoffice-bin-2.0.4 sia con la use java abilitata che con la use java disabilitata.
Al momento comunque su questo stesso sistema ho appena reinstallato openoffice-bin-2.0.3 che funziona senza nessun problema.
Problema ancora da risolvere.

suggerimento stupido: perchè nn provi ad installare l'ebuild invece del binario?
io personalmente appena rilasciato quello l'ho installato e nn ho avuto problemi anzi
è molto + veloce di prima, apro file che sembra di aprire file di testo semplice con nano....
io ho amd64 ma credo che sia la stessa storia per x86. |

compilare da sorgenti openoffice è moooolto lungo. io rientro adesso da una intesiva compilazione durata 9,5 ore su un athlon64 3200+ |

Per ora ho downgradato alla 2.0.3...
Con openoffice-2.0.4-bin, problema non risolto, l'ho dovuto mascherare.
