Thanks to the Gentoo/MIPS team!

I'm generally more of a lurker than anything, but I just wanted to say that the MIPS team has put up a great set of documentation!

After a couple of weeks of sporadic work (which would have taken a lot less time if I could read my own arc.cf), I managed to get a fully working install going on an SGI O2+ that I inherited, complete with no IRIX disks and no root password. Now I have something moderately useful, instead of a cool-looking purple paperweight.

I've still got a pretty basic install going, since this is my first MIPS box (plenty of x86 Gentoo boxes going now, though), but I'm just pretty stoked to get even this far.
