I just added 1 gig of ram to my system putting it at a total of 2 gigs but gentoo only sees 1 gig. Does anyone know what I need to do to allow gentoo to see the 2 gigs. My bios does recognize 2 gigs
Thanks |

Build yourself a kernel with highmem support. |

Code: | Mem: 906136k total, 887044k used, 19092k free, 23820k buffers |
High mem support says 4 gig and 64 gig should it be built in for 2gig... from what ive read the kernel (2.6.17) supports 2 gig |

Nope you've clearly not built in highmem support. 896MB is lowmem on i386 arch. |

Built in high mem support and worked perfect

Thanks for the help
