Where is postifix log file?
I'm trying to setup an SMTP (outgoing mail) via one of my provider "shaw.ca" and I'm getting an error:
Code: | relaying not explicitly allowed |
Mail going via SMTP via my other provider interbaun.com is going out just fine.
I can not figure it out not tech. at shaw.ca can figure it out; in addition as soon as something it more problematic and they hear "Linux" their excuse is we do not support Linux :-/
So I'm trying to find postfix log file maybe will give me more clue.

Best bets for logs are:
/var/log/maillog
/var/log/messages
With a logger like syslog-ng you can make them go anywhere - these are probably the 2 most logical. |

Yes, I'm running syslog-ng and /var/log/messages is not showing much only evolution is poping up with a message:
relaying not explicitly allowed
I would think initially that this message is coming from my postfix setup but SMTP is working with one provide just fine and not with the other; so it is unlikely postfix.
I think there is a way to setup debug in postfix, I just need to find how. |

I'm connected via one provider and trying to send an email via anoter; hence I'm getting error:

I need to find another solution. |
