|
|
Here's my issue: In my gnome menu bar, I have the date+time control (i think its called "clock"). When you click it, a calendar pulls down. The date and time are accurate, but the calendar annoying displays the weeks from Saturday -> Friday, instead of Sunday-> Saturday. I've been trying to look through the preferences and whatnot, but I can't seem to change the starting day of week. Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

This may have to do with your timezone. Just an idea, you may be able to set this inside Evolution. _________________ noup. |

Hmm. I checked in the clock's prefs, and it (correctly) lists America/New_York. The time itself is correct as well, and it syncs with a ny time server. I opened up evolution (i don't actually use evolution, but i had it installed for whatever reason) and checked its' "Calendar and Tasks" preferences. Time zone is still set correct (America/New_York). Under the "work week" section, it had said "Week starts on: Monday", so I tried changing that to Sunday, but it didn't affect the gnome-panel clock; so, I changed it back.
Any other suggestions? |

A quick search reveals that this appears to be based on your locale. Are you using an US locale? Take a look at this bug. _________________ noup. |

That does seem to be it. I'm updating glibc now (from 2.3.6 to 2.5), lets see if that works. That bug is still open though, so I'm not so sure it's fixed, but we'll see. |
