Salve a tutti,
Premessa. Prima installazione di gentoo 2006.1 , diciamo che funziona tutto senza server grafico ovviamente .
vengo da un'altra distro e mi hanno incuriosito i pareri positivi su la gentoo e ho voluto provare .
Ho solo un piccolo dubbio ... possibile che post installazione la directori /boot risulti vuota ...nonostante per esempio grub e kernel vengono caricati normalmente ?

Probabilmente non è stata montata , controlla i parametri in /etc/fstab
Può essere anche non montata e caricare il kernel senza problemi...
Il bootstrap è indipendente da cosa tu monti o meno

Ok risolto
Nell'fstab avevo la clausula noauto difianco al mount della partizione su boot.
mi è bastato levarlo e riavviare

Ti consiglio di rimettere l'opzione "noauto", così la partizione di /boot non viene montata automaticamente e non corri il rischio di cancellare erroneamente il kernel o il file di configurazione di grub (non si sa mai  )
Nel momento in cui dovessi installare un nuovo kernel o modificare grub.conf...

metti le flag qt3 qt4 e kde in make.conf va prima di far danni |

Non uso kde, quindi potrei sbagliarmi, ma credo proprio che richieda ancora solo le qt-3.x, quindi trovo abbastanza inutile suggerire una USE qt4 che richiederebbe la compilazione di un pacchetto abbastanza dispendioso.
Inoltre le USE riguardano dipendenze opzionali. Sta pur tranquillo che emergendo kde queste verranno installate correttamente e tutti i pacchetti che ne avranno necessariamente bisogno le useranno....
