Ne ero già a conoscenza da un pò, e tempo fa l'avevo provato, però aveva la controindicazione di "sporcarti" l'eventuale installazione di Wine già presente.
Ho provato adesso la versione aggiornata (2.0.5)....  Funziona alla grande 
N.B. mi serve per testare in locale il sitozzo internet che gestisco

scen andando leggermente off-topic posso chiederti che programma usi per creare i siti sotto linux? Ho installato con wine dreamweaver, ma preferivo qualcosa di native linux un po più semplice. Cosa puoi consigliarmi?

Se usi qualcosa tipo | Code: | | ./ies4linux --basedir ~/.ies4linux-ie7 --beta-install-ie7 |
dovrebbe installare tutto nella directory specificata senza contaminare l'installazione di wine esistente
Mi installa però sia ie6 che ie7 e quest'ultimo non funziona proprio benissimo (non si apre la finestra delle impostazioni, quella dell'informazione)

Difatti la versione attuale lo fa già automaticamente (non occorre passare il parametro --basedir), mentre ricordo che una vecchia versione che avevo provato (ma parlo di un anno fa almeno) andava a modificare la configurazione esistente di Wine, se esistente.
