I'm using Gnome and didn't have anything KDE related on my system, but want to try Krita.
9 packages smoothly build later, running 'krita' fails with:
Qt: Locales not supported on X server
Qt: Locales not supported on X server
kbuildsycoca running...
koffice (lib kofficecore): WARNING: Library files for ".la" not found in paths.
??

So, building krita again, this time with debug.
I see a lot of:
libtool: link: warning: `/var/tmp/portage/app-office/krita-1.6.1/work/krita-1.6.1/lib/kofficeui/libkofficeui.la' seems to be moved
(still buidling) |

Now it's more wordy even without gdb:

Now after a reboot, it runs just so. I have no clue why/what has changed. Didn't touch any configuration file.
