Hi.

I've configured my kernel by this guide: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_Intel_Core2_Duo and all goes ok, but I dont have these files:

Code:

/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/cpufreq/scaling_governor

Here is my dmesg: http://rafb.net/p/YzfVz928.html
And my kernel .config: http://rafb.net/p/nI3Da278.html

I'm off of googling about that why I don't have these files. Help!

Best regards!

You need these options:

Code:
CONFIG_X86_SPEEDSTEP_CENTRINO=y
# CONFIG_X86_SPEEDSTEP_CENTRINO_ACPI is not set
CONFIG_X86_SPEEDSTEP_CENTRINO_TABLE=y

I've pasted these options to my kernel .config file, and recompiled kernel. But that doesn't help, still don't have these files :(

Here's my screenshots of "Power management options --> ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) Support":

and "Power management options --> CPU Frequency scaling":

Maybe I've forgot about something?

If you need more informations/screenshots, please tell me, I'll post it here.

Thanks for help a lot!
Best Regards.

That's strange because I have the same options enabled as you have in those 2 images.

Also I have more options in my CPU Frequency menu than are shown in your image.

In processor type and features I have Core 2 selected as the Processor Family.

I would suggest deleting your source tree and config file and going through menuconfig again and manually setting all the options.
