Salve a tutti
Al lavoro mi hanno appena consegnato un portatile , per la precisione un Dell Latitude D620 , ovviamente ho installato Gentoo e tolto Windows .
E' da un po' che non installo Gentoo su un desktop , di solito lo uso sui server i quali sono molto meno esigenti in termini di installazione , cmq andando un po' a memoria , leggendo un paio di documenti e qualche post sul forum ho fatto tutto , funziona a meraviglia tranne una cosa , lo Standby e la spospensione (desidererei avere almeno il suspend-to-ram)
il problema sembra essere la mancanza del supporto ACPI per tali funzioni sul kernel , infatti in /proc/acpi/ mancano le voci relative , il problema è che nel configurare il kernel tali voci non sembrano proprio esistere .
Il kernel che ho installato e' il 2.6.19 (gentoo-2.6.19-r5) su architettura x86_64 . Sapete per caso se ho solo io la vista annebbiata o su tale kernel/architettura il modulo sleep ACPI non esista piu' ?

interessante , penso proprio non sia una buona idea .
vedro' se i manteiner dell'ACPI riescono a risolvere il problema in patch future . |

| Io uso sys-kernel/suspend2-sources e va sia sleep che hibernate. |
