xfree on alpha problems

Hi,

I emerged xfree on DEC Alpha platform, installation is ok. However my card has s3 chipset. I do not have the s3 driver. The official xfree86 website and the downloaded sources have it, so I think it is not compiled by default.

Now I use the vga driver, but X crashes with no obvious reason as soon as it gets loaded so I want to try s3 to see whether this helps.

Does anybody know how to manipulate the ebuild so I can have the s3 driver?
