|
|
Hi all.
I thing that there is problem with vsftp and ssh. Two times already after emerge vsftp my sshd_conf is "reseted".
First time it is happened when I install the vsftp and the second was few days ago, when I ran emerge --update world.
Every setting that I put in the sshd_conf is missing, only 3 or 4 default settings are present.
Is someone also have this problem or it's just me messing something? |

Make a backup of your desired sshd config just in case it disappears again, then re-emerge vsftpd to try to reproduce the problem. Let us know how it goes. _________________ "Your voice is like the sound of sirens to a house on fire..." -The Alkaline Trio |

Hmm, now everything is OK, but I still believe that something with vsftpd is the problem.
Because every day I make emerge --sync and emerge --update --deep --pretend world before the real update to see what will happen.
First time after configuration of the ssh daemon to disable remote root login and after I installed the vsftpd I noticed that I can connect with root remotely. Every change in the sshd's conf file I made - missing. Few days ago emerge --update --pretend showed that vsftpd must be updated. I remember this because it was the firs time I saw the package for update after the installation and today I accidentally find out that again the login with root is possible again. |
