in installation,I think you will let us choose gcc3,new version of soft,etc...
people who want to get all newest packages in their system can satisfied with it. |

We do. Just re-link the default profile and you can install either a custom system, gentoo 1.0-rc, gentoo 1.0 or gentoo 1.0-gcc3
the default profile is what /etc/make.profile points at, the avaiable ones are in /usr/portage/profiles
Though I'm not sure why this isn't documented in the installation guide (unless you count on all newbie installation letters that say "I dont know what a profile is"
