Hi,
I need to expand a machine with a USB ethernet 10/100 adapter (there is no other way of connection left) - so my question is, whether these kind of lan devices are easy to handle with a current kernel.
Are there chipsets I shouldn't buy?
I found a single option in the kernel - does it support all adapters?
Anyone experience with this?

| Some time ago I configured a server using a D-LINK DUB-E100 USB 2.0 FAST ETHERNET ADAPTER. Didn't have a problem with it... |

I should bought a network card with rj-45 connection (it cost about 7 ) and I should use it to connect the computer to internet through a simple router.

Which driver did you use?
I just realized there are acutally 4 in the kernel but only one not explicitly saying "10mbit-only"
