Ksim can show you the network speed... but it doesn't show you total transfers and stuff
for total transfers and stuff you can make as root
ifconfig
it will show you a lot of information on each device.
But I don't know any that does the both... It doesn't mean that it desn't exist... I just do not know any. |

well, you have lots of choices.
for console you have iftop, iptraf, bwmon, nload, and a few others.
for KDE you have kdevmon
and for Gnome you have netspeed_applet.
if non of those suite you, you can always try browsing net-analyzer/ in portage. _________________ DKP

My favorite is kdevmon. It looks like DU Meter. |

I like iptraf, you can even chose the device if you have more than one.

I emerged kdevmon today, but trying to start it just says:
Code: | bash-2.05b$ kdevmon
Segmentation fault |
(in kde shell) |

What should I do then if I would like to keep statistics for all networktraffic over a long period of time? |
