I have an abit nf7 series motherboard, amd 3000 socket A, and am trying to get standby to work properly. In my bios it is set to power management s1 + s3 with wake using either mouse movements or any keyboard stroke. I am using kpowersave with the powersaved daemon with a regular gentoo sources kernel (no suspend2). I am also running beryl full time. What I notice is that I can manually send the computer into standby by rightclicking the kpowersave icon and clicking standby, but upon resuming, beryl seems to garble the screen where the password box doesnt appear and I need to ctr-alt-backspace to restart x. Also I dont believe the computer goes into standby on its own or if it does it probably seems to resume on its own. Also It would appear that there is some file damage with the standbys because when I reboot I end up with "the filesystem is not clean". Does anyone have any info in regards to the settings for what I am trying to do? _________________ Billy DeVincentis |
