I tried with emerge -c packagename, but it said it would only remove unused packages and that I should try unmerge instead.
The reason is that I have just installed gnome2, and it works really good. So I don`t think I need gnome1.4 any more. there is no sense in updating both when I only use the other. How do I remove gnome1.4?
And is it safe to emerge rsync and emerge -u world now? I have hear that it is broken.... |
