I recently installed gentoo on a new machine using 2007.0 livecd. the machine is using a PS/2 keyboard. on the livecd the keyboard worked fine, however after rebooting to my own kernel ( gentoo-sources-2.6.20-r8 ), i had issues getting the keyboard to work. Eventually i fixed it and it worked fine, but im not sure how (lots of kernel compiles and remerging things like hal etc).
recently i did an update on world, which pulled in hal (0.5.9-r1) and hal-info and since then, the keyboard no longer works again.
It works fine during the grub screen, and fine with the livecd, just 10 seconds into the boot, it stops responding.

but it just wont repsond? unfortunately i dont have a usb keyboard to try.
what could be causing this? |
