Is there such a thing as NFS failover?

I have Network Computers that have all their filesystems mounted over NFS. They work great, reboot, take changes without ever having to go around to all 60 of them to manually reboot them.

Unless the server goes down.

This happens infrequencly ("unscheduled" maintanence, crashes, whatever), but when it does, I have to go around to all of them to turn them off and on again. I have a backup server for them, which works fine if I know about scheduled outages.

Is there such a thing as NFS failover, where if the main server was to fail the client would then mount a different NFS server to get at the same files?

You can do heartbeat failover so that another machine can take over the personality of the primary NFS server. You can also use automount with multiple mount servers.
