The ebuild of NVidia kernel tells you to add the line nvdriver to your /etc/modules.autoload
When i do that i get proplems when he modprobes the module
When i leave the line out and i do a lsmod my nvdriver is already loaded.
My splash screen loads and everithing is working fine.
So is the ebuild outdate or is there something else i missed |

i think just using the /dev/nvidia* device files (such as by starting X) is enough to get the nvidia driver loaded (which is why it appears when you lsmod) however i have no clue what it would complain about loading the NVdriver at boot time
try posting exactly what gets printed out when you have NVdriver in /etc/modules.autoload and we should be able to give you some more help |

First off, make sure you have it like this
NVdriver
and not
nvdriver
You might also want to unmerge and merge the nvidia drivers again if you've build a new linux kernel. _________________ stuff is good. |

I don't think it matters if you leave the line out of modules.autoload or not. I have tried both and it works either way. |
