I need help configuring x. Im using an nvidia card , so far I have emerged xorg-x11 and nvidia-drivers, and set it to use eselect, when i use X -configure and then test that configuration, the nvidia logo pops up then leaves me with an x shaped cursor and a background with grey dots. How can I fix that? and How can you scroll in cli mode?

instead of configuring x inside gentoo i decided to take the cheap way and copy /etc/X11/xorg.conf from my Kubuntu gutsy install and it seems to work fine
btw how do you mark a topic as solved here? |
