X is too big or small

Hi All,

I have just installed Gentoo on my PS3. I am having some problems with the ps3videomode. X is either too small (ps3videomode = 8 ) or too big (ps3videomode=136). Is there a way I can force X to be certain dimensions to rectify this?

With ps3videomode=136 it is chopping off the edges and =8 it has black lines.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem but with pal resolutions, "mode 6" and "mode 6 -f"
