cioe.. capita tutti i giorni che un mirror rsync va down... non e' che casca il mondo. scrivi di nuovo "emerge sync" e si connette ad un altro server. finita. |

Controlla di non aver sbagliato ad impostare la variabile SYNC in make.conf.
Ipotizzando che tu abbia indicato di usare sempre e solo il mirror italiano (che non è una buona cosa, per inciso), deve essere così:

Può darsi che ti sia dimenticato di mettere in fondo il /gentoo-portage, era capitato anche a me.  |

è esattamente quello che mi è successo cioè.. pù che altro n sapevo di doverlo mettere  ora lo so e nn lo dientico + grazie

Concordo, non e' buona norma usare sempre e solo su un unico mirror, ti consiglio di usare l'indirizzo europeo rsync.europe.gentoo.org piuttosto.
