im using kde 3.1 btw
i remember aback on my mandrake instlal there was a kde app that could do this, i thnk it was called "kshot" or somethign like that
but i dont see it anywhere, if you could tell me that would help, thnks |

And if you fire up a *term you can do:

Import is from the imagemagick package and it has a bunch of useful command line driven commands...
