Ogni volta che lancio un programma da shell che usa le gtk, suppongo, mi appare questa scritta:
Ad esempio con Rox: | Code: |
(ROX-Filer:2754): Gtk-WARNING **: Icon cache '/home/MYUSER/.icons/hicolor/icon-theme.cache' is invalid
bad image index

Leggendo qua e là ho dato un:

gtk-update-icon-cache
|
nulla tutto uguale a prima.
Da cosa puo' dipendere?
Come WM uso FluxBox.

a naso farei una prova, prova a mettere un | Code: | | export MYUSER=$USER |
in bashrc, anche se bash dovrebbe riportare null e non il nome della variabile.
Oppure prova a cercare in etc/X11 od in etc/env.d se c'è una variabile che contiene MYUSER invece di $MYUSER o se non hai qualcosa di sballato in gtkrc & C
per esempio se non dovrebbe essere myuser invece di MYUSER ed ovviamente se non hai un ~/.gtkrc

il nome del mio utente.
Ho provato:
export nomeutente=$nomeutente
nulla, sempre lo stesso errore.
Negli altri file dove mi dici di cercare, a naso, non trovo nulla che faccia riferimento l nomeutente.

  lascia perdere avevo interpretato male le cose (myuser è usata per la sostituzione con il nome utente).
Pittosto prova a riemergere i gtk themes/engine che usi o l'integrazione kde-gtk sarà qualche file di conf scombussolato; ovviamente, presuppongo che hai provato a cancellare il file incriminato ed a lanciare l'update cache con il path giusto.

mi sono accorto di non avere nessun gtk-engine installato! e ce ne sono molti, forse il msg di errore
è propio perche' non ho nessuno installato.
