|
|
Hi there!
One question... Are there any active Tribes 2 players that would like to join a Gentoo clan?
Intention of this clan is not to be a competitive clan, but just to play with a gentoo tag...
I know that this will raise some more or less irrational emotions on some public servers, but
anyway it would be nice to play with a linux-related tag... |

ok... those replies seem to be a little bit off topic
anyway there's a native linux port of tribes 2 since end of 2001... so there really should be some players around here... i guess
so no tribes peeps out there??? |

I can barely play t2 anymore, the game always was flakey, but under a 2.6 kernel, half the time I connect to a server it will crash. Then if I make it in it will always lock at the next map load. sad. |

I have T2 for linux, and I play it all the time. More than any other game. Well, until icculus releases his Medal of Honor port anyway . _________________ I wish hell would freeze over already.

You can't just download an installer. You have to buy the linux version (meaning you can't install the client from the windows cd). _________________ I wish hell would freeze over already.

Ya, that's the only problems I've really had with the game in linux. Most (or all... ) sounds don't fade. I haven't found a fixed for it as of yet. _________________ I wish hell would freeze over already.
