cokehabit has attacked poly all week long. IMHO the ban is correct. Yes ,the insult was minor, but if you look at the whole picture, cokehabit seems on a crusade against p-p-man. Time to stop that.

I think the mods should allow poly_poly-man to unban cokey whenever he likes it. Isn't that how conflicts are solved in real life (without a third person intervening) ?

Not a good idea, methinks. If ppman let cokey off the hook early, cokey would just return to his old behaviour in... a few minutes, probably. If he waited for the original ban to lapse, on the other hand, he'd have the popular opinion turn against him (as many have said in this thread that the ban is too long/too much for the infraction). Better that the mods make the decision, so we can all hate them together instead of hating each other

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, it is easy for me to ignore CH so I am not bothered by his presence. On the other, he constantly violates TOS and I am still sore from his accusations of ubiquitous racism in my country - that was very offensive to me.

It may not be ubiquitous in the country, but it is pretty common here in Southwest Missouri. (and Northwest Missouri, and at least three of the four corners of Iowa) ((I can only speak for the places in which I have lived or spent a great deal of time.))  |

Sounds about right. Just from my personal observations, it seems like the places that thump the bible the hardest, have the most racism. That's just my personal impression though. Still, it only takes a few bad eggs to stink up an entire area... |
