Salut,
J'ai fais un emerge compiz-fusion.
Tout s'est bien installé. j'ai le compizconfig setting manager...
Mais je n'arrive pas a lancer les effets 3D.
Pourtant avec Sabayon, j'ai GLX de supporté, et ça marche bien.

salut 
primo : tu possedes quelle version de ati-drivers?
secundo : il te manque des choses dans ton xorg.conf
Si tu utilise les ati-drivers < 8.42.3 ou 8.433 dans portage, tu n'as pas le support AIGLX et donc tu dois passer par l'installation d'XGL, dans le cas ou tu possedes les ati-drivers avec AIGLX (les derniers, et qui sont considérés comme instables) ton Xorg est mal configuré, je te renvoi a mon Tuto pour compiz avec les ati-drivers...

Bonjour,
Merci pour ton lien, il m'a beaucoup aidé. sauf que j'ai préféré installer les derniers drivers de ati x11-drivers/ati-drivers-8.433
Puis fusion-start n'a pas fonctionné, du coup j'ai regardé les scripts python, voila mon changement pour l'adapter a ma carte graphique (apparement un petit bug):

Vous remarquerez que j'ai viré "is_xgl()" puisque xgl n'est pas installé sur ma becane, et que le "and" me donnerai un "false". du coup compiz-fusion ne se lancera jamais du "fusion-icon", il se contentera de m'enlever la barre de titre... du coup mon linux ne sera pas tres beau, jusqu'a ce que je remette "kwin".

Mon compiz-fusion se lance comme suite:

Parcontre je ne comprends toujours pas comment ça se fait que sous sabayon les resultats de glxgears sont dans les 3000FPS alors qu'avec fglrx c'est de l'ordre de max 2000FPS.
En plus xgl n'est plus present dans portage 
Je n'ai pas communiqué le bug aux concernés, donc si quelqu'un sait le faire ben c'est gentil de sa part de le faire pour "la communauté".
Avant de quitter, quand j'avais:"no composite blabla", c'etait a cause de la conf de xorg, voila ce qu'il fallait ajouter a la fin de /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Content que ça t'ai servi, pour le glxgears ne te fies pas a ce qu'il t affiche en résultat, ça ne fait pas office de benchmark, et donc c'est a titre informel et n'a aucune valeur de performances, au dela de 500-600 fps on considère que t'as le rendu 3D c'est tout , ensuite a mon avis XGL n'est plus présent simplement parce que les derniers drivers ati ont le support aiglx, ce qu'xgl apportait aux possesseurs d'ati jusqu a présent donc je suppose que c'est pour ça qu'il n'est plus dans l'arbre officiel.
