Well, I thought it'd be interesting to set this up, see what everyone thinks is the best idea for a nametag in Enemy Territory. Hopefully whatever the outcome is here, it'll be in common use :> I have three of the main choices that people have been mentioning so far. |

Well, I'm keeping mine as [US/Gentoo]daSilVetZ, and although it doen't appear fully on the screenboard, i don't mind. Like elzbal pointed out, G2 or Gen2 are not necessarily related to gentoo the distro for people who either don't use linux, or who aren't very witty. We should however try to agree on a tag.. _________________ Think Different, Think Emerge.

Looks good to me :>
I'd suggest that anyone who wants more of their name to show up on the screen just remove the brackets and the country code, and use a / to separate your name from Gentoo..so if it's not fitting on the scoreboard try Gentoo/Infrared rather than [CA/Gentoo]Infrared, for example. |

I even voted against my own creation. Ah well. [Gentoo] seems to be the only way to say "Hey! I use Linux, I run Gentoo" Everything else will result in WTF? or just general indifference, although that may result anyways
Not too sure about the country though. For the US, it dosen't make all that much sense, unless you use your state which many people already have. Overseas, especially in Europe, that's a different matter. |

Or, since the names are truncated, how about reverse the order. Daganoth[IN/US/Gentoo], or something like that. I think we are an autonomous enough group to put our name first instead of our clan |
