I`ve emerged Vmware but have run into problems with networking. When i run ./vmware-config.pl it goes through what it needs to do and I setup newtworking etc. , and all is well I can run WinXP in vmware no problem. The thing is after I reboot things grind to a crawl, logging in takes an age, the PC is slow as a tortoise, my network connection is not working either. The only thing I can see that is taking up CPU time is init. Now once I`m into X if I run ./vmware-config.pl again and restart x my network is back up and all is fine until next reboot. Any ideas :p
BTW running gaming sources r3

Will try that, found out that vmnet-dhcpd was dragging things down. I actaully had to even reload the nvidia-installer before x would even start up .
