| i hope i don't post this as dupe (surfing from commandline is not what i like most), but: Isn't the vga=792 the value for 1024x768x32? The docs say its 892 ... and i always used 792 and it worked?!? So i'm confused |

it's 792 afaik
that was also mentioned in the framebuffer-boot thread in the forums. |

| Please always verify if some fix isn't already applied to the online installation guide. It is not only the most recent, but the 892-error is very old and has been fixed quite some time now. |

you're right.... it is in the german documentation ... for 1.4 rc 4 ... this is a little bit old :/ my fault  |
