hey, what about minefield's restore window after forced\improper shutdown? If I kill -9 it..next time I run minefield it does not ask anymore if I want to restore previous sessions |

Well here it does work, but it always restores the same session from 5 or 6 days ago, sort of strange.
BTW, anyone else here having the problem, that the "search field" next to the address bar doesn't work anymore? |

I cant compile minefield-r4 too, but my error is related to cairo:
Code: | gfxContext.cpp: In member function ‘gfxRect gfxContext::GetUserPathExtent()’:
gfxContext.cpp:747: error: ‘cairo_path_extents’ was not declared in this scope
gmake[5]: *** [gfxContext.o] Error 1

I tried:
minefield-9999-r4
official mozilla beta2 build
current mozilla nightly
All of them show the normal gtk icons, although for the minefield-9999-r4 (which I use normally) there are some icons missing (tab close icon for example). |
What gtk theme are you using? I am using gtk-engines-qtcurve. Try it, maybe it will do the trick. |
Installed gtk-engines-qtcurve, didn't seem to do anything. Copied, that gtkrc file to ~/.gtkrc-2.0
I chose the theme with gtk-chtheme, didn't help.
Is there more to do?
Might this be related to the fact, that I'm using KDE4? |
I found out, that emerging gtk-engines-qt and copying the file from that will show kde icons, unfortunately those from kde3.
(And you have to copy the gtkrc-2.0 file to .kdesvn/share/config/ instead of just ~/.gtkrc-2.0)
Berniyh wrote: | BTW, anyone else here having the problem, that the "search field" next to the address bar doesn't work anymore? |
I tried the nightly builds from mozilla.org and those have a working search field. |

Might not want to use the system ciaro?

ahah im not lucky with cairo! Ive edited eclass to avoid system-cairo but now:
Code: | ./../glitzint.h:29:28: error: cairo-platform.h: No such file or directory
|
asap Ill try to find some workaround

edit2: 666_mozilla-glitz-cairo.patch doesnt apply anymore. I found out some spare time to fix it, so my fixed version is here
edit3: tested. cairo-9999.ebuild + new patch allow to compile minefield again (with system-cairo) |

well, cairo-1.5.8 has just been released. so, you can also rename the old ebuild instead of pulling from git with my live one |

hmm, i think i removed that patch (it seems that it got applied upstream). Anyways, put # in front of the epatch line in the ebuild, and redigest. It should work.

Ok thanks, it worked but now I'm back to my initial problem:

I have the same problem as mikkoc, the build system seems to insist on -DMOZ_SHARK and I neither have nor need that thing, so the build fails on Shark-related stuff. Any idea on how to turn it off? I tried mozconfig_annotate '' --disable-shark without success. |

Good to know I'm not alone, I thought this was only my machine's problem
This problem is pretty recent, because last time (one month ago) minefield built fine for me |

Hm, there are a few issues currently that seem to be build related (mozilla.org's nightlies don't have them), like the not working search.
Has anyone found a reason/solution for that? |

The search bar not working is a massive annoyance for me :/ It's happening for a few weeks now over here...
No idea why though. Solution to that problem would be very much appreciated ;P
