Ragazzi ho bisogno di avviare un programma ogni volta che accendo il PC e quindi subito dopo il boot.
Non essendo un software presente in Portage, non ho nessun script all'interno di /etc/inid.d/ da gestire tramite rc-update.
Esiste un'altro metodo per farlo partire?

creare un link simbolico all'eseguibile del programma che devi far partire ed inserirlo nella directory di avvio del tuo Desktop Manager, se usi KDE è :

Non uso nè Kde nè Gnome.
E' un server e non ha nessun ambiente Desktop. |

scriverlo lo script benedetto? Se vuoi che il programma si avvi a condizione che qualche altro servizzio o la rete sia ok è l'unica strada. Altrimenti ti hanno già detto come fare. Nota che local.start e local.stop non hanno l'ambiente di shell completo, quindi se vuoi che vadano devi inserire un source /etc/profile in testa.
