Oui, je sais, mon topic est pas très parlant.. mais bon, je vois pas trop comment le dire autrement.

Depuis ma dernière màj, y'a deux ou trois jours, ma machine donne l'impression de s'être engluée dans du goudron... Mais épais en plus...

Soit 27 secondes pour me rendre la main.

Au boot, certains services, D-Bus, named pour ne citer qu'eux, ne donnent pas l'impression de vouloir démarrer. J'ai largeemnt le tps d'aller faire un café et de revenir que la machine attend toujours un hypothétique time out. Bref, obligé de démarrer en interractif, de skipper la moitié des services et de les relancer plus tard...

Mon named, qui dessert mon réseau et qui fait du cache en plus, mets des plombes à répondre aux queries... En gros 20 secondes pour chaque query...

À part ça, elle a l'encéphalogramme d'une huitre morte:

Précision, je suis en ~x86, si qqun à déjà rencontré ce genre de soucis... Et la machine est pas une bête de course, mais pas une cagole non plus, c'est un C2D à 1,8 GHz

tu as mis à jour les fichiers te config avec etc-update ? tu as fait un -5 à l'arrache ?

J'ai depuis longtemps banni etc-update de mon vocabulaire pour utiliser dispatch-conf. Et j'ai pas fait le goret.... Enfin, je crois pas...

Mise à jour du noyau ?
Pas de processus qui mange 100% du CPU ?
Disque dur en UDMA ?
Rien d'étrange dans le dmesg ?

Totalement rien à voir, ou presque :

Tu n'aurais pas demandé une authentification par annuaire ? (LDAP ou AD ?)

J'utilise LDAP au boulot pour identifier les utilisateurs.
J'avais omis certaines lignes qui faisait que si DBUS n'arrivait pas à trouver le serveur LDAP (DBUS ou nss), tout le système était très lent. (Les deux compères cherchaient comme des malades le serveur LDAP et envoyaient des requêtes sans cesse)



Tu n'as pas de partitions pleines ?
Pas de messages d'erreurs dans /var/log/messages (ou autres ?)

Coupe le maximum de services réseaux/systèmes, et essayes de les relancer un à un, voir si l'un d'entre eux ne s'amuseraient pas à enquiquiner les autres.

Ouais, j'ai installé et configuré un openLDAP pour tester openfiler qui demande obligatoirement un annuaire... !!!

pour couper court aux temps d'attente pour le ldap ;) Il ne tente qu'une fois, et abandonne si ça marche pas. Bien sur c'est à faire seulement si c'est en local, parce que si le ldap est en réseau, ça craint un peu.

Bon, je viens de rentrer et de rajouter un -ldap dans mes USE.

Je vous dirais si ça va mieux après un emerge -DN world :) D'autant plus que Openfiler ne correspondant pas a mes attentes, je vais plutôt me mittonner une gentoo à ma sauce pour faire serveur de fichier et iSCSI :) Donc openldap, zou, au trou :p

@geekounet: Merci du tuyau, mais tu vois, je suis encore plus radical. J'ai déjà suffisament d'emmerdes au boulot avec LDAP pour vouloir éviter de m'en coltiner à la maison :)
