Hi,
I am looking for a simple graphing calculator along the lines of GraphingCalc for MacOS or NuCalc for Windows. Its got to be simple, I just want to type in equations and have them graphed. Maybe differentiate and integrate that sort of thing nothing to complicated, all with a nice gui.
Yup, I've looked at mupad and scigraphica, but really i need something easy that can take equations.
thanks

I know MuPAD is not very intuitive at the beginning and I also had a lot of trouble getting accustomed to it as I was used to point & click programs. I really searched a lot for such programs and tested quite many of them. But MuPAD still is the best choice for me. I use it in combination with TeXmacs, which can serve as a frontend for MuPAD. TeXmacs is WYSIWYG and is an interactive interface for MuPAD (and other computer algebra systems such as Maxima). This makes it a little bit easier to use, but you still need to know basic syntax of MuPAD language (which is comparable to Maple)
<edit>First of all TeXmacs is a scientific editor with similarities to TeX and emacs</edit> |

fung-calc is by far the easiest for linux that I have used. I submitted an ebuild not too long back (not yet in portage), which you can get here from bugzilla. _________________ Me |
