|
|
Hi all!
I just upgraded my laptop from gentoo-sources-2.6.23-r9 to tuxonice-sources-2.6.24-r3 to see if suspend to ram works (It didn't) but now i have a big issue:
there's no more /proc/acpi/battery !!!
This means that there's no acpi control over the battery and i don't know it's charge level, kpowersave says that AC adapter is always plugged in!!!
Thank you in advance for any helps or hints.
Luca

They have been replaced by functions in /sys.
If you still want them recompile your kernel and enable "create deprecated /proc/acpi files". _________________ Black Holes are created when God divides by zero! |

Speaking of suspend to ram. It worked fine on my laptop on gentoo-sources-2.6.24. Have you tried that?
Code: | echo "mem" > /sys/power/state |

Yes, it brings the laptop into S3 mode, but resume is impossible, if i push any key the power led returns on but the screen stays black.
But i'll open another post for that! (Don't want to go OT) |
